Like Herod and the Christ-child, the Scrooge spirit is any stance toward Christmas that either rejects its presence and joy, or attempts to kill it. Inevitably there are all kinds of things that attempt to diminish our welcoming the celebration of Christmas. It requires a mindset and a decision that we would never come to Christmas status quo, but rather let a fresh joy infuse our spirits, along with a child-like expectancy. (Matt. 2:1-12)
